About my work

The movement of water never fails to fascinate me. The delicate interplay of water from different parts and of various forms composes the most elegant melody in nature.

Driven by the strong curiosity, my researches are focused on the interactions between surface water and groundwater, and mainly within the hyporheic zone. I create numerical models, apply data analyses, and conduct field investigations to understand how flow, energy and solute transport from the surface to the subsurface regions under varying hydrological conditions.

I hold a doctoral degree in Geography (Dr. rer. nat. with great honors: Magna Cum Laude) from department of Mathematics and Natural Sciences in Humboldt University of Berlin. I am currently a postdoctoral researcher in Eco-Environmental Research Laboratory, Westlake University in China.
